sloppy drippy combat rules
hp; like 6/ for each character with 12 being fucking craaazy
standard damage die is a d6
fuck a to-hit roll not needed
after the damage die is rolled, the attacker picks up a d20
as soon as they do that, the defender picks up all of their HD and start rolling as fast as they can.
the attacker rolls the d20 and refers to the correct wound table to determine the wound they inflicted
if the defender rolls a 4 or better on any of their HD before the attacker has finished determining the wound, they aren't wounded.
if they don't, the attacker gets to roll their damage die again and you repeat the process.
the first wound over half ur hp is automatically rolled on the screaming/crying table
going first is obviously rlly important
ambush is crucial
morale, not initiative, determines who goes first outside of ambush. each party counts up the reasons why their enemies should fear them, and rolls that many d6s over and over until at least 1 die shows a 6; that side goes first. If it's a tie, use the second highest die as a tiebreaker.
doing morale like this (specifically counting reasons for fear) fucking rocks and immediately incentivizes cool shit like taking trophies and doing war dances and stuff.
"count the reasons for fear" rules so much
