resolution mechanic where each named person/place/thing who has contributed to your success moment adds 5% to ur odds of success.
so like the name of your teacher and their teacher and the smith who made your weapon and the mine the ore came from. go ahead and name your parents bc they're going to be coming up a lot.
all this rewards asking about the names of stuff and naming your sword and skill improvement through learning from masters and whatever. you people love that kind of thing.
to increase difficulty by 5% (10%? if you want the players to have to track more names than you) the GM must list the names of each person/place/thing who is either contributing to your failure, has failed here before, or is the only thing who has succeeded. when the GM re-uses a name, double the difficulty increase.
so like "the cliff is slick with water from the Gurgling Craw at the top of the mountain and Saccharine the Salt Devil is leaping from crag to crag and mocking you and this is the same climb and the same fall that claimed the life of Grebius the Hornthrower for a total of +15% difficulty. If you previously had attempted to wrestle the Lodehammer, who was only ever bested by Grebius, the difficulty increase would be 20%: Gurgling Maw +5%, Sacchrine the Salt Devil +5%, Grebius +10% bc the GM has used the name before)
wait you should use the Power of Names as well
